The Blue Lock manga series was created in collaboration by Yusuke Nomura and Muneyuki Kaneshiro. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine from August 2018. Eight Bit released its interpretation of an anime television series in October 2022. Blue Lock won the shnen category of the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in 2021.

The story opens with Japan being eliminated from the FIFA World Cup 2018. The Japanese Football Union responds by launching a program to identify high school athletes who will begin training for the 2022 Cup.
The forward Isagi Youichi is accepted to this program immediately after his team is denied the opportunity to compete at Nationals because he passed the ball to a less talented teammate.

Teieri asserts that if Japan continues to operate in the same manner, they will never win the World Cup in a meeting of the Japan Football Union.
They need Jinpachi Ego, she says. Meanwhile, Kira thinks his disqualification absurd. Ego talks about the relationship between soccer and the activity they engaged in.
Isagi wonders why he is still so motivated after ruining Kira’s soccer career. Bachira responds that he passed the ball to him because he knew Isagi would kick it when questioned why.
Ego congratulates the group on completing the entrance exam. Everybody in the room will live and train as Team Z. After passing the fitness test, Usagi makes the decision to train while the others are sleeping.
He decides to work out beside Bachira. Isagi asks Bachira about what happened during the tag game, and Bachira replies that he has a monster inside of him.
He hears the voice of the monster as he plays, and according to Bachira, the monster told him to deliver the ball to Isagi since the latter is also a monster. Usagi is aware of what happened and wants to know more about the “monster” he is carrying.

The third episode of Blue Lock will air on Saturday, October 22, according to Sportskeeda. The episode will premiere in Japan on Sunday, October 23, at 1:30 a.m. JST. For fans across the world, Crunchyroll is simulcasting the show.

What to Expect in Blue Lock’s Third Episode?
Isagi has recently started to learn about the negative aspects of participating in the Blue lock project. He will be compelled to set aside his knowledge of football and allow his selfish tendencies to govern him.
The child is quickly adjusting to his new way of life despite his early complaints. Bachira’s admission that he too has an egotistical monster inside helped Isagi embrace his new life.
Unfortunately, the young athlete will realize that he is not the only one who allows his ego to rule him. Team Z’s first true test, the first selection event, is about to begin. They are considered to be the worst players in the project, thus Jinpachi believes it will be much more difficult for them to succeed.
Without a solid plan or the motivation to win, Yoichi and his teammates will be out of the competition in a flash. Blue Lock features two of the most egotistical people, which is fortunate for Team Z. Despite his best efforts, Isagi is unable to contain his monster now that Bachira is present.
