Neil Gaiman created and wrote the fantasy comedy series Good Omens. It is based on the book of the same name that he and Terry Pratchett wrote in 1990. The series, which has six episodes and was made by Amazon Studios and BBC Studios, was directed by Douglas Mackinnon, and Gaiman was also the showrunner.
Good Omens, like the book, has a lot of Christian themes and characters. It also follows a lot of different characters who are all trying to either help or stop Armageddon from happening, as seen through the eyes of the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley.
We agree with the fans that the show’s fans are more excited and interested in the second season than they were before. If you want to know more about when Good Omens Season 2 might come out, you don’t have to look any further.
We’ve put together all the information you need because fans have been asking a lot of questions since the premiere of Season 1.
What Happened in the Finale Episode of Good Omens Season 1?
The Very Last Day of the Rest of Their Lives, the last episode, was written by Neil Gaiman and directed by Douglas Mackinnon. The episode came out in the UK on February 19, 2020, when it was supposed to come out on May 31, 2019.
In the episode, viewers saw that Aziraphale was about to shoot Adam. When Madam Tracy told him he couldn’t shoot a child, the gun went flying into the air. Adam splits them up when he realizes that they are actually two people in one body.
Death leaves while his friends win over war, pollution, and famine. Lord Beelzebub and Gabriel show up to make sure Adam restarts Armageddon according to God’s Great Plan, but he refuses. Aziraphale goes one step further and asks if the Great Plan and God’s plan that no one can understand are the same thing.
Both sides back out when they realize they don’t know what to do. Satan shows up, but Adam turns him away. Adam then fixes the world, bringing back Aziraphale’s bookstore, Crowley’s Bentley, and the lives that were recently lost.
When their commanders find out they have been betraying them, Aziraphale is told to be burned by a hellish flame, and Crowley is made to get into a tub of holy water. Both of them live, which surprises everyone. Heaven and Hell agree to leave Crowley and Aziraphale alone on Earth because they are scared of what they have become.
While sitting on a park bench, Aziraphale and Crowley go back to their real bodies. Agnes Nutter’s last prediction, “You must choose your faces wisely,” told them how to stay alive. Anathema gets a new version of the book of prophecies, but she throws it away and goes on with her life.
Adam keeps his skills. Madame Tracy and Shadwell want to spend their golden years in a small town outside of London. At the end of the series, Aziraphale and Crowley toast “to the world” while having lunch at the Ritz.
